To Eve's Daughters
There is Joy and Peace even in times of trouble when you Have Jesus Christ as your Savior and Friend
"Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character, and character hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us." Romans 5:1-5
This tract is written especially for women in prison by a woman who ministers to women in prison. With Gods guidance, and my own ministry experience I share this message with you in hopes it brings you peace and joy through Christ.
When we are experiencing difficult times and we have a lot of problems we can lose hope. There is no peace and joy in our lives.
This is true if you do not know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and friend. Hopelessness is lonely and frightening. Friends and sometimes family abandon you and leave you to deal with your loneliness and hopelessness alone. This is especially true of women in prison. Family and friends tend to provide more support to men in prison than to women in prison. The loneliness and hopelessness can hurt so deep that there seems to be no way out.
There is someone who wants to be with you and take away your loneliness and give you hope. He is Jesus Christ. Jesus is hope. If you have Jesus as your Savior and friend you are never without hope. Jesus never leaves, so you are never alone. Jesus has the answer to all of your difficulties, so there is always peace.
Jesus can become your personal Savior and friend by giving you His Grace. Through your faith Jesus will forgive you of your sins. When by faith you have been saved through Grace you begin to know peace and have hope.
Jesus even promises to make you a stronger person inside. He will give you perseverance to withstand the trouble and build character. He will make you stronger emotionally, intellectually, and morally.
You can have hope and peace and joy right now by saying this prayer:
Jesus Christ, I know I am a sinner. I believe by faith you are the Son of God who died on the cross to save me from my sins. I am in need of forgiveness for my sins. I want to have hope, peace, and joy in my life. Please come into my life and live in my heart today. Amen.
If you have said this prayer for the first time, share your new hope and faith with another believer, a chaplain, or someone who can pray with and for you. Continue to learn about this new hope by reading the Bible, especially Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John in the New Testament. -D.Bennett
